I am a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I learned about innovative and effective coaching methods, tools for lifestyle management, and over 100 dietary theories, including gluten-free, Paleo, raw, vegan, macrobiotics, and Ayurveda, just to name a few.

In my previous career as a corporate regulatory professional, I was the interface between food regulators in the US and the companies I worked for. I worked for fifteen years in the food industry, and got a behind the scenes look at how the food industry operates.

I hold a master’s degree in food science. My research focused on food chemistry, and I investigated methods for fortifying foods with nutrients that people are generally deficient in.

I also hold a bachelor’s degree in food engineering, where I gained a deep understanding of making processed food, from the early stages of development at a laboratory bench to large-scale production in a manufacturing facility.

healthy lifestyle nature

These days, after a 180-degree turn from food manufacturing to health advocacy, I continue to educate myself and explore the world of wellness and coaching.

I refined and expanded my coaching skills by taking a specialized course from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition on advanced coaching skills.

I also gained a deeper understanding about the benefits of meditation by participating in a Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction course, which was developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn and offers intensive mindfulness training to assist people with stress, anxiety, depression and pain.

Through another specialized course from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, I acquired an in-depth knowledge of gut health and learned how a compromised or imbalanced gut can affect the body as a whole.

I am currently learning more about emotional eating, and our complicated relationship with food, through another Institute for Integrative Nutrition specialized course.

In the meantime, I also became a Certified International Health Coach, accredited by the International Association for Health Coaches

I also recently completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training registered with Yoga Alliance. Yoga, mindfulness, spirituality and movement are very important to me.

I keep learning, developing and growing as a person and as a coach by working with business and life coaches who support me and guide me in my journey.

I know it is hard to make healthy lifestyle changes and stick to them for the long run. We are bombarded every day with information from the media, diet books, and elsewhere, and that information is many times contradictory and sometimes even detrimental to our health. That is because we are all so unique, and what works for one person might be not the right fit for another person.

We’ll work together as you develop a deeper understanding of which foods and lifestyle practices are best for you, the ones that make you feel alive – full of energy, feeling balanced, healthy, and happy!

You’ll leave each session feeling inspired and motivated, and creating that space in your life for yourself, to look and listen to what you really yearn for in this life is the best gift you can give yourself.

Can’t wait to work with you!
